Please lock valuables out of sight in the trunk of your car when parking at Boulware Springs. There have been numerous car break-ins reported in this area.

The Gainesville-Hawthorne Trail is accessible from Boulware Springs Park at 3500 SE 15th Street, south of Lincoln Middle School. It offers a shady 15-mile paved trail - popular with runners, bicyclists, and rollerbladers - that runs along an old railroad bed all the way to Hawthorne. It is different than your typical rail-trail in that several miles are hilly and curved as the trail leaves the railbed and winds through a beautiful hammock. It is open from 8 AM until dusk. For more information about the Hawthorne Trail, see the Florida Department of Environmental Protection Gainesville-Hawthorne Trail page.
