Join your fellow FTC runners for the 1st Grand Prix event of the 2007-08 season. This is one of the oldest runs in the area and one of our most popular races. It features not only the toughest 5K in the area, but a 1 Mile Fun Run with your dog.

The 5K course starts on NW 31st Drive in front of Westwood Middle School and heads south down the hill past the Pool. Runners take a left on NW 8th Avenue for a very fast first mile. Then, they will go up the infamous 8th Avenue Hill to take a left at the traffic light at NW 22nd Street. At NW 16th Avenue, runners take a left and head back towards Westside Park. Another left at NW 31st Drive and runners head back downhill for a fast finish in front of the Pool.

The 1-mile Dog Run is at 9 AM and is for dogs and their owners. The Dog Run goes around the perimeter of the park. Special Awards will be given to the overall winner for 0-40 lbs. and 40 lb., Dog and Owner Look-Alike Award, Dog Most Likely To Pull Owner, Slowest Dog, Smallest Dog, Biggest Dog, and Cutest Dog. There will also be a raffle for all runners - must be present to win!

The Awards Ceremony and Raffle will start at 9:15 AM. So, come on out and support a terrific charity! For more information, contact the Florida Track Club at (352) 378-8725.

NOTE: T-shirt is only guaranteed if registered by September 28.
